What Is a Mini Pomeranian?
A mini Pomeranian — also known as a miniature Pomeranian — is not a separate size class. It's a common nickname for a compact, small-boned Pomeranian in the teacup range — 3–5 lbs full grown — still much smaller than a standard Pomeranian (5–7 lbs).
This makes the mini Pomeranian the perfect choice for families who want a tiny, fluffy companion with a little more durability than our rarest under-3-pound teacup sizes. They keep the same iconic fox face, thick double coat, and bold personality that makes Pomeranians one of the most popular toy breeds in the world.
Every puppy at Platinum Pups is from KKF-registered Korean bloodlines (FCI member registry), eligible for AKC registration, and comes with a written health guarantee plus a Florida-issued health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We are fully transparent about size and lineage so you always get exactly the dog we promise.
Pomeranian Size Guide
The three sizes we raise — all real, all transparent. "Mini" is a popular nickname for our teacup range.
Teacup Pom
Under 3 lbs full grown. Rarest and most delicate. Limited availability.
Teacup — aka "Mini"
Stays real small and fluffy — typically 3–5 lbs full grown. "Mini" and "miniature" are common nicknames for this range — pups at the top of it are a bit more resilient, ideal for families and first-time owners.
Standard Pom
Classic Pom, full coat, around 5–7 lbs full grown. The classic full-size Pom.
"Teacup" and "Micro Teacup" describe adult size — they are not AKC size classes. Adult weight is an estimate based on the parents and growth curve, never a guarantee.
